CV Labels’ provides Thermal Transfer Printers, Ribbons and Machine Maintenance.

Sato Thermal Printers

Thermal Transfer printing provides the most effective way to print variable data such as barcodes, batch information and expiry dates on a label.

This data helps to identify, trace and provides unique information about the labelled product.

The Sato Thermal Printers are rugged and reliable. The Nx Series of printers are designed especially to integrate seamlessly into existing systems.

Features include:

  • User-friendly operationIMG_2414 TAG IN SATO
  • Multinational language support
  • Easy setup and maintenance
  • High speed processing and throughput
  • Superior print accuracy and quality

Thermal Transfer printing provides the most effective way to print variable data such as barcodes, batch information and expiry dates on a label.

CV Labels are proud to use Zebra; the leading global provider of Thermal Printers.  Thermal printing improves data management and accessibility, reduces costs and increases productivity.

Built to last and for high-volume applications and harsh environments, Zebra’s label printers deliver superior print quality and reliability. With faster print and connection speeds, these printers help reduce downtime with early warning. Also with Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) capabilities, which allow you to track where the labelled product can be located, therefore making supply chain logistics and visibility much more accurate.

Thermal Transfer Ribbons

Thermal Transfer is the world’s most popular printing technology for the marking of variable information on labels and flexible packaging: barcodes, logos, text, expiry dates and batch numbers. This data is important in order to identify a product, to ensure its traceability throughout its life cycle and to provide all important information for end users

Markets where thermal transfer ribbons are used include the following:

  • AutomotiveThermal Transfer Ribbons
  • Chemical
  • Consumer goods manufacturing
  • Distribution
  • Electronics
  • Flexible packaging
  • Healthcare
  • Pharmaceutical

There are three main types of Thermal Ribbons: Wax, Wax-Resin and Full Resin. See below for more details on each:-

Wax – The most economical thermal transfer ribbon, however offers the lowest protection to scratching and smudging. These ribbons use little energy and produce a very dark print. They are ideal for printing onto paper and vellum labels.

Wax-Resin – Increased resistance to scratching and smudging, this ribbon is ideally suited to print onto semi-gloss and glossy labels. The Wax-Resin ribbon is also suited for printing onto polyethylene substrates whilst keeping the cost to a minimum.

Full Resin – Offering total resistance to scratching and smudging, Resin ribbons also offer resistance to solvents and detergents. They produce great results on synthetic materials. This also includes the ability to print onto textile labels, which require the ribbon to withstand temperatures of up to 200 degrees.
